Walk With Me to Sunshine Gardens...

There is an awesome family owned garden center in Encinitas that I have grown up with, I stopped by today to start thinking about what plants I want to replant in my pots on our window garden. I love this place, they used to be in a different location and they are still making this new location their own. They don't just lay out the plants they set each area up like a mini yard. I love going here.

Happy Day!

Happy Monday!

Things that make me smile like this :)

1. Would live in this, so awesome, in love with this picture and the camper, please take me camping soon. From the Urban Blog.

2. From Sew Homegrown for a birthday party, bags of jelly beans with clothes pins to make butterflies!

Collection of eclectic interiors from around the world. This workstation is my favorite, there is so many fun colors, I could stand to work in this little space everyday.

4. Heart rings from the Urban Blog.

5. This day bed is so wonderful, just fill me up a glass of lemonade, a good book and I will be outside all day if anyone needs me.

6. This canvas, this room, I could/would/want to live in here. Perfect, perfect, perfect! Also from the the Urban Blog.

7. I'll be in the tree house! How rad would it be to say that!

This list caught my eye and now I absolutely love her entire blog.

Check out her super cute chalkboards, she has a bunch of different ones, and she will paint them in pretty much any color.

10. This DIY Anthropologie scarf on Sew Homegrown
My goal is to make all of my Christmas gifts, this will be one of them, but for who? It seems pretty simple, I am excited to start it.

One Saturday Morning...

Good morning! Do you remember the run of cartoons on ABC on Saturday mornings when you were a kid? They were my favorite! This morning I went for a short run and walked on down to the beach thinking I would wander around the tide pools for a while, only to find the tide was all the way up to the stairs, so I ran a few sets of stairs and watched the surfers for a little bit. I love mornings.

Thank goodness gracious it's Friday!

Last night I made this Fall wreath from the Tricks + Treats Fabric Wreath DIY on A Beautiful Mess, I wasn't expecting it to turn out, but it did, and it used up a bunch of old fabric! It looks so festive on our little white door. I want to make one for Christmas.
This is her cute wreath:

To my understanding this is a comedy show of the character 'Pat' on Saturday Night Live. Show that combines songs and tales of joys and obstacles in life and the humor required to accept them all. Looks funny.

The Belly Up
Saturday, November 6th at 9pm

The description by the Belly Up is too perfect to mess with, "Dr. Dog is influenced by the sounds of th '60s, with a little bit of The Band here, a little bit of The Beach Boys there, and a sprinkling of Nuggets-style psychedelic pop on top.

7. The Really Really Free Market
Public Park @ Orange and 40th Street
Sunday, November 7 from 11am to 2pm

This seems super cool and I want to check it out to see what goes on, I wonder what goodies people bring. The poster says the wrong date but it is for this Sunday November 7.

Take a Walk With Me To The Meditation Gardens...

I am ashamed to say I have lived in Encinitas my entire life and have never been to the Meditation Gardens at Swami's until last Friday. My best friend Ingrid took me and I have to say I will definitely be back, it is so pretty, you feel like you have just escaped to this wonderful far off land, when actually you are just steps away from civilization. We went to St. Germain's for breakfast (which I had also not been to) and it was delicious!

The Koi fish are definitely my favorite part, I could watch them swim forever, look at this huge orange one above, he was super slow and just swam into the other fish to make them move!

The pretty, pretty ocean.
Happy Day!

Movember

In 2010 tragically more than 32,000 men will die as a direct result of prostate cancer.

The 'Mo," slang for mustache, and the November come together each year for Movember.
Each Movember men are challenged to change their appearance and face of men's health by growing a mustache. The mustache used to raise awareness and funds for cancers that affect men. Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, the commitment of Movember is to grow a mustache for 30 days. Funds raised benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG.

What an awesome cause and awesome way to raise awareness about prostate cancer.

We are all just trying to get through this crazy thing we call life,
it's easier if we do it together...
